What is World Water Day?
Since 1993, World Water Day will held on 22 March every year. It emphasizes the importance of fresh water as there’s around 2 billion people living the place that cannot access to clean drinking water. Moreover, the World Water Day strive for “taking action to tackle the global water crisis”.
Why groundwater is important?
Ground water comes from the underground aquifers, for example rocks, sands and gravels. It supplies springs, rivers, lakes and wetlands, and seeps.
Our daily life rely on ground water. Imagine that without ground water, we cannot access to clean drinking water and sanitation. Also, ground water has a huge impact on the food supply, industrial processes and natural environment.
Therefore, we need to used the ground water carefully and sustainably by thoroughly exploring, analysis and monitor. Furthermore, we have to cooporate since we share the same ground water resources crosses border.
