- General
- In these terms and conditions and the Special Conditions (as defined below) (collectively referred to as the “Terms and Conditions”), "Watsons" or “we” or “us” means Watson’s Personal Care Pte. Ltd. and the "customer" or “you” means any person, firm, company, or body which places an order with us. Please read these terms and conditions carefully before using our website or our mobile app (as the case may be) (collectively “our eStore”). By using our eStore or any part of it, you agree that you have read these terms and conditions and that you accept and agree to be bound by them.
- We shall make every effort to ensure that prices, details and sizes of products at our eStore are up-to-date. Prices are subject to change without prior notice and all orders are subject to our acceptance at our sole discretion and stock availability.
- All photos and images of the products displayed on our eStore are for illustration purposes in order to help you recognise the products only. The actual size, dimension and colour of the products may differ.
- It is your responsibility to ensure that the products you intend to purchase are sufficient and suitable for your purposes and meet your individual requirements. We do not warrant that the products for sale in our eStore will meet your individual requirements. You acknowledge that the products purchased by you are standard and not made bespoke to fit any particular requirement/s that you may have.
- We shall make every effort to ensure product(s) displayed at our eStore are in stock. If from time to time any products become out of stock, we reserve the right to offer alternative product(s) of similar value and style.
- All orders are subject to confirmation of final availability and we reserve the right to reject the order in the event that any of the products or services requested are unavailable.
- Registration
- You are required to register as a user before placing any order through our eStore:
- You must be 18 years old or above and are capable of entering into a binding contract (in case you are below 18 years old: you must obtain consent from your parent(s) or legal guardian(s), their acceptance of the Terms and Conditions herein and their agreement to take responsibility for (i) your actions and (ii) any charges associated with your purchases at our eStore.
- You must provide us with accurate, complete and up-to-date registration information;
- You must safeguard your username and password;
- You authorise us to assume that any person using the eStore with your username and password is either you or is authorized to act for you;
- We have the absolute discretion to refuse registration of a potential customer and to terminate the registration of any customer for any reason whatsoever.
- Please inform us via our eStore via submitting a form or Live Chat immediately of any changes to the information that you provided so that we can communicate with you effectively.
- In the event that your account is not used for a specified period (currently, 3 years), we will, for your own and our protection, deem your account to be no longer in use, and we will deactivate your account and all your accumulated points and/or e-vouchers will be forfeited (where applicable). You will need to reapply for a new account if you wish to make further purchase at our eStore.
- You are required to register as a user before placing any order through our eStore:
- Privacy protection
We are committed to safeguarding the privacy of individuals with respect to personal data. We therefore make sure that our policies and practices in relation to the collection, use, retention, transfer and access of personal data comply with the requirements of the Personal Data Protection Act 2012 under the laws of Singapore. - Payment
- Our eStore accepts payment by designated credit cards, debit cards or other designated electronic means as specified by us. All product prices listed are in Singapore dollars. The prices listed in our eStore may differ from the prices of the same products in our physical stores. The applicable price of a product shall be the price listed in our eStore or physical store (if you are making a purchase at our physical store via Scan & Go) as at the date of purchase.
- Acceptance of orders is subject to our sole discretion. A final electronic receipt will be issued to you via email and/or our eStore.
- To provide secure online transactions, we employ Internet's Transport Layer Security (TLS) technology. It encrypts your personal information, including credit card number, name and address, so that it would not be read as information travels over the Internet. To check TLS Certificate information, please go to the URL of the website. If it begins with “HTTPS”, the “S” indicates that the website has a secured certificate. - Others
- Basis of supply: we only serve and deliver products to end consumers. We are not selling our products for re-sell purpose. If we have grounds to believe that you are not purchasing our products as an end user, we reserve the right to decline or cancel your order.
- Force majeure: We shall not be liable for any delay or failure to perform caused by or resulting from acts of God, fire, flood, accident, riot, war, government intervention, embargoes, strikes, labour difficulties, equipment failures, or any other causes beyond our control.
- You shall not assign, transfer or otherwise any of your rights and obligations under these Terms and Conditions to any other third party without our prior written consent.
- If any provision of these Terms and Conditions shall be construed to be illegal or invalid, they shall be removed from these terms and it shall not affect the legality, validity and enforceability of the other provisions of these Terms and Conditions.
- These Terms and Conditions embody the entire agreement between the parties and they supersede all previous negotiations, representations and agreement between the parties.
- We have the right, at any time, or from time to time, by giving prior notice to you, to modify or vary or supplement all or any of the provisions under these Terms and Conditions.
- If any dispute arises, our determination shall be final.
- These Terms and Conditions shall be governed by the laws of Singapore and the customer and Watsons agree to submit to the exclusive jurisdiction of the Singaporean courts. We may revise the Terms and Conditions at any time without prior notice.
Special Conditions for Watsons eStore (“Special Conditions”)
These Special Conditions are supplemental to the Terms and Conditions for Online Purchase and are applicable to any orders placed under our eStore. Should there be any inconsistency between these Special Conditions and the above Terms and Conditions for Online Purchase, these Special Conditions prevail.
- Watsons payment terms
- We accept Visa, MasterCard and AMEX.
- Under Credit Card Purchase Protection service (e.g. Visa Verification Service, MasterCard Secure Code) customers can enjoy safe and secure shopping by using their own credit card with specific password or security code. Credit cards used for shopping should be valid and under the purchaser’s own name.
- Gift Vouchers: Watsons Gift Vouchers are not redeemable at our eStore.
- e-Vouchers and e-Coupons (if applicable): only designated e-Vouchers and e-Coupons accepted by us can be redeemed at our eStore subject to the terms and conditions of each respective e-Voucher / e-Coupon (as the case may be).
- Where there are additional charges for delivery, such charges will be set out separately for your acknowledgement and confirmation prior to proceeding to payment.
- Minimum purchase amount at our eStore is $5.
- Notification for ordering at Watsons eStore
- Our eStore only accepts orders for delivery to the specified delivery address in Singapore, or collection at a designated Watsons physical store located in Singapore.
- Placing an order means you agree to purchase products or services and appoint us to deliver the same on your behalf to your specified delivery address or for collection at a designated physical store (as the case may be) in accordance with these Terms and Conditions. After receiving your order, we will acknowledge receipt of your order. However, it is not an acceptance of your order. We reserve the right to reject any order without giving any reasons. In the event that we are unable to accept your order (for example due to payment issue), we will notify you by email and/or via our eStore.
- If your order is accepted by us, we will confirm with you accordingly and advise the expected date and time of delivery or availability for collection at a designated physical store.
- In case any applicable gift items of your purchased products under the order confirmation are not available, you may decide whether to accept another gift item, cancel the order or continue to purchase the products.
- Delivery service for purchases at Watsons eStore (applicable if you have selected to have your order(s) delivered to a designated delivery address within Singapore).
- Watsons Members and non-members can enjoy free delivery for minimum purchases of S$40 and $50, respectively.
- Delivery service is available to residential and commercial addressed in Singapore except certain restricted areas (click here for details). We will dispatch the deliveries as scheduled to the best of our ability. Should you have any inquiry about delivery, please feel free to contact our Customer Service Department.
- After your order has been accepted, we will confirm with you about the expected delivery time and date. Before the arrival of the goods, you will receive a notification from our courier. Please check whether all your purchased items are delivered against the order confirmation (as the case may be), and then acknowledge to our courier to confirm your receipt of goods.
- In case where the deliveries are delayed due to factors beyond our control (e.g. extreme weather conditions), we will try our best to arrange the products to be delivered on the next business day.
- If you fail to receive your purchased products upon the first delivery appointment(s) or you give us inaccurate information on your address, you need to contact our Customer Service Department to arrange another delivery appointment within 7 days. We reserve the right to (i) charge you an additional delivery fee for subsequent delivery(es); or (ii) arrange your ordered goods to be collected by you in one of our stores.
- All expected delivery dates and time are estimates only. We shall not be liable for any loss or damage incurred or suffered by the customer as a result of any late delivery.
- In case of any dispute, our determination shall be final.
- Store pickup service for purchases at Watsons eStore (applicable if you have selected to collect your order(s) at a designated physical store within Singapore).
- Watsons Members and non-members can enjoy free delivery for minimum purchases of S$40 and $50, respectively.
- The ordered goods will be available for collection at the designated physical store within 4 business days. You will be notified by us via SMS or email when your ordered goods are available for collection.
- Please collect your purchased item(s) at your selected physical store within 7 days from the designated date of collection during the specified business hours of the selected physical store.
- When you pick up the product in our physical store, you or your authorised representative (who must be 18 years old or above) will be required to produce your email or SMS notification for identity verification. We may need you to provide further information or document(s) to verify your identity (such as your full name or other personal information under your account profile) and the identity of your authorised representative. If we are not satisfied that the person requesting to collect your order(s) is yourself or your authorised representative, we will refuse the collection of the order(s) in order to safeguard your interest.
- Once the order is confirmed, we cannot change the selected store for collection.
- If your selected store is closed due to weather or any other uncontrollable factors, you may pick up the products in the same store on the next day when the store is opened.
- Payment for products via Scan & Go (applicable to purchases at designated Watsons physical stores).
- By activating “Scan & Go” feature under Watsons mobile app, you may settle payment directly for purchases at our designated physical stores by scanning the barcode of the eligible products and adding the same to the basket.
- If you are not a registered user of our eStore, you can still use Scan & Go for payment. In such case, you are required to provide an email address for receiving the purchase receipt.
- You agree to settle payment to complete the purchase for the products added to the basket in Watsons mobile app before you leave the relevant Watsons physical store.
- Watsons membership loyalty points, Watsons eVouchers, Watsons eCoupons, game card promotions or Watsons Gift Vouchers are not available for redemption for settling payment via Scan & Go.
- Watsons eVouchers, eCoupons and Game Cards are not available for redemption nor issuance for settling payment via Scan & Go.
- OCBC 365 Credit Card 3% cash rebate is not eligible for transactions using Scan and Go.
- Exchange and refund
- You are required to examine the goods upon collection for any deficiencies and/or damages. If any product is found to be expired, missing, incorrect or damaged inside after receiving the delivery or collection at our designated physical store, claims for return (if any) must be lodged to our customer service by submitting a form or via Live Chat in our eStore within the next 7 working days from the date of delivery or the date of collection; otherwise we shall have the discretion to refuse your claims. All requests for refund will be reviewed on case-by-case basis and subjected to the company’s approval.
- Return of products can be arranged for the following reasons:
- If the product is expired / incorrect/ damaged, in its original packaging upon delivered.
- If the product is expired / incorrect/ damaged, in its original packaging upon collection at the store. In such case, you are required to return the products with the original packaging to us.
- Watsons reserve the rights to reject any exchange or refund for opened or used product. We shall not be liable to you for any losses, liabilities, costs, damages, charges or expenses as a result.
- Medicine, hygiene-sensitive products & Watsons card sold are non-refundable.
- Products are refunded at the prices stated on the order confirmation via eVouchers. The relevant Watsons membership loyalty points issued for the purchase will also be deducted from your account accordingly.
- For refund cases of orders made with member points redemption, member points will be refunded to card member’s account.
- Original sales receipt or relevant electronic receipt must be produced to us for request of a product exchange and/or refund.
- All gift items must be returned together with the returned products. Otherwise the retail value of the gift item will be deducted from the refund.
- Cancellation
- We may cancel an order if the product is not available for any reason or any other reasons which caused an order not able to be fulfilled. We will notify you if this is the case.
- All cancellation of orders will be refunded in the form of Watsons eVouchers with equivalent sum value to the order value.
- You are not allowed to cancel the order once an Order Confirmation is issued. If you wish to seek further information or assistance, kindly contact our Customer Service Department by submitting a form or Live Chat on our eStore.
- For any ordered goods remain undelivered within 7 days from the date of first delivery appointment (for delivery to your designated delivery address) or uncollected for 7 days from the date of order confirmation (for collection at designated Watsons physical store), we shall have the right to cancel your order at our own discretion and refund the relevant payment to you via eVouchers without further notice to you.
- Others
- Title to the product shall remain vested in us until we receive full payment of the price, and title and risk shall pass to the customer upon collection of the product(s) by our delivery team or by the customer.
- We shall under no circumstances be liable for any loss (whether direct or indirect) of revenue, loss of profits or any indirect or consequential loss whatsoever suffered, sustained or incurred by you or by other person arising (directly or indirectly) out of the sale and purchase transaction with you.
