Two kinds of allergic reaction can be caused by beauty products like makeup, shampoo etc. One is irritant contact dermatitis and the other one is allergic contact dermatitis. Irritant contact dermatitis happens when the product damage your skin. When you use the product, it might cause burn, itch etc. Allergic contact dermatitis causes allergic reaction on your skin, like swelling, redness, itching and can be happens on face, eyes, necks and even your lips.
Animals and Insects
People may think that the hair of fur of animals is the main allergen to us. However, for those who have allergic reaction, they are more reacting to animals’ saliva and skin cells. You might sneeze and suffer from rashes and hives if you are allergic to some animals like cats and dogs. Bites and stings can cause hives and welts.
Food
Food is the most common types of allergic reaction on face. If you are allergic to certain food, you may have stomachache or get rash on your face after eating them. The most serious case is anaphylaxis, it is a dangerous and life- threatening food allergy which can cause your windpipe and tongue to swell.
Medication
Medication allergies commonly cause skin rashes on face. It might cause hives, anaphylaxis, and swelling of the face.
