Vitamin C 10%: The vitamin for age spots.

1 in 3 women have pigmentation disorders. Linked to exposure to UV rays, dark spots are aggravated by pollution. That is why hyperpigmentation affects all skin types, at an increasingly younger age.

Ascorbic acid is the most active form of Vitamin C. Its antioxidant properties and ability to stimulate collagen production means Vitamin C is biologically essential to the skin. Its efficacy on age spots is particularly well-known, as it excels in its ability to depigment and regulate melanin synthesis.

What it does:
1) Anti-oxidant protection: It neutralises free radicals generated by exposure to UV rays and environmental factors, resulting in brighter, radiant skin.
2) Age spots reduction: It inhibits tyroinase, an enzyme involved in pigmentation, and reduces oxidised melanin. L-ascorbic acid acts on melanogenesis induced by UVA rays, which aggravates age spots.
